Very dirty, moldy, smoke ridden, and a horrible paint job - our window which was right next to a very popular smoking zone, with a window that doesn't close properly - really tough beds (just the thin straw mat -- you can do better at other hotels in Shanghai) - very dim lighting (to add to the very shady establishment) - not very polite staff -- okay, but not great - bathroom was just as dirty as everything else The one good thing was that they let us check out immediately with refund.
